Dear All
Firstly, this is to let you know that we are planning the third annual UKHERD conference to take place in September again in 2007. It is likely to take place on 13th September and will follow the UK GRAD conference which will take place on the 12th. The events will be in London. Put the dates in your diary!
We'd like to invite members of the network to join the conference planning team.
We're looking for 5-7 people from a range of backgrounds who will share their expertise to:
- contribute to the strategic debate required to create and hone the theme of the conference, creating a leading edge event that will move the agenda forwards in terms of how we support and develop research staff
- develop a cohesive event programme that delivers the theme
- suggest speakers, contributors and workshop facilitators
In terms of time commitment - there will probably be one meeting in the first quarter of next year. Following this, a commitment in terms of time to comment on draft programmes, suggest contributors etc, sign off promotional materials etc.
Interested?
... then please drop me an email letting me know your background and specific interests!
Please respond by 23 January.
Many thanks, Ellen
(member of HERD Taskforce)
