Total linear metres (or footage here in the US) is but one part of
determining space utilitazion.. You should also factor in how often
the materials are accessed. Those that are accessed most often should
be stored on shelving that is readily accessible. while the least
accessed material can be stored on mobile compact shelving. materials
that are confidential in nature should be stored in locked cabinets.
so with all that in mind how much floor space will you save? It all
depends. More information is needed before that determination can be
made.
