Hi!
I have a similar issue at my university (Lund, Sweden). So far I have
given the students a free choice between these, and the experiences are
very similar. Whichever program they install (they do it on their own
computers) and get familiar with, they report postive experiences. I
have not found any need to narrow their choice down to only one program.
But: we do not use Atlas.ti as common software for analysis and coding,
so I have not had to worry about that. Students do the coding in a
variety of ways.
I am not sure about what you mean with the possibility to code and
analysis with these programs. At least with transcriber, the program I
personally use, there are no such facilities as far as I've seen.....?
