The University of York is establishing a new Centre for Applied Human
Rights. This will be a multidisciplinary development, and could include
work across a broad spectrum of applied human rights fields, such as
health, social sciences, law, creative arts, politics, etc. The Centre
will establish a Masters programme, set up a research programme, and
will offer fellowships for human rights defenders.
The post of Director of the Centre, and Chair of Applied Human Rights,
has been advertised recently. This is an exciting position, which could
attract attention from a wide range of disciplines. Details are given
