IDP special issue of Forced Migration Review
A new issue of FMR, produced in collaboration with the Brookings-Bern Project
on Internal Displacement (http://www.brookings.edu/idp), is available online.
‘Putting IDPs on the map: achievements and challenges’ has articles from
senior policy makers and leading academic thinkers in the field of internal
displacement. They explore lessons learned from trying to apply the Guiding
Principles on Internal Displacement, the implications of institutional changes
for the protection of IDPs and opportunities and challenges for putting the
protection of IDPs into practice.
The special issue celebrates the achievements of Roberta Cohen who is retiring
as Co-Director of the Project on Internal Displacement at the Brookings
Institution after 12 years.
