Conference

A refereed international conference on Mobile Learning Technologies and
Applications (MoLTA 2007) has been organised in Auckland, NEW ZEALAND on
February 19th 2007 by Massey University. It will bring together
international researchers and practitioners in the area of mobile
learning and supporting technologies, applications and pedagogical
approaches.
MoLTA 2007 will provide researchers with a forum for exploring emerging
opportunities for mobile learning in teaching and training both in
education and industry.
Authors of the best papers will be invited to submit extended versions
of their work to a special edition of the International Journal of
Mobile Learning and Organisation

* EXTENDED Submission Deadline: December 11th, 2006
* Author Notification: January 5th, 2007
* Camera Ready Copy: January 19th, 2007
* Conference: February 19th, 2007
Paper submission
---------------------
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers for
consideration for MoLTA 2007. All papers will be double-blind refereed.
Papers may be full research papers, with a maximum of eight pages, or
short papers up to a maximum of four pages. Short paper submission would
be appropriate for work in progress reports, student research projects
or other research activities that may be suitable for writing up in
short format. Authors are invited to submit both full research and short
papers following the template provided on the conference web site.
We also invite proposals for panels. Panel proposals are expected to
address new, exciting, and controversial issues. They should be
provocative, informative, and entertaining. Panel proposals should
include:
1. A summary of topics for discussion.
2. The name, affiliation and contact information for the panel
chair.
3. Optionally, at this stage, the names and affiliations of up to
four panellists (in addition to the panel chair).
We invite full research papers, short papers and panel proposals to be

* Reviews of the application of mobile learning in multiple contexts
* Use of mobile learning in professional environments
* Resource constraints in the delivery of mobile learning
* Related research in learning, including e-learning and pedagogical
approaches
* Knowledge sharing
* The role of Wikis, blogs, podcasts, messaging, other on-line tools and
Web 2.0 components
* Learner interaction / collaborative learning
* Privacy and security issues
* The future of mobile learning
