AN IDYLLIC FARM
they lived on
an idyllic farm
had a lovely
field of villanelles
some organic sonnets
ripe for harvesting
an orchard of mixed
tercets and quatrains
a small pen of soft
pink oinking haiku
a pond of sweetly
singing stanzas
flock of spotted tercets
herd of bold rondeau
and the whole being
rather dwarfed by
a sixty acre field
of juicy golden sagas
but sadly by night
they were haunted by
verminous doggerels
a scourge of limericks
and a vile plague
of invidious
double dactyls.
