Hi Ian,
Not gold or silver, I know, but in October or November this year rumours
were going around that the Wismut subsidiary Wisutec in Pöhla, here in
Germany (in the former GDR), were investigating possible options for
extracting the (supposedly) rich tungsten ores in that area. There was an
(leading) article in the Chemnitz Freie Presse newspaper. I didn't note any
details at the time, but could research it further if interested.
