> Dear Colleagues,
>
> Our annual NCDS/BCS70 User Group Meeting will take place on Thursday 14 December 2006 at the Institute of Education in London. This year's meeting will focus on employment, occupations and socioeconomic status in NCDS and BCS70. We envisage that the event will be of interest to both experienced researchers and those in government and the voluntary sector who are comparatively new to these large-scale longitudinal datasets.
> In addition to four presentations of recent or ongoing work based on the 1958 and 1970 British Birth Cohorts, there will be ample opportunity for participants to hear about recent developments in the cohort studies and to participate in group discussions concerning plans for the future. (A copy of the provisional programme for this meeting is attached.) Advance booking is essential as the number of places is strictly limited. A non-refundable registration fee of £30 (or £20 for HE/FE students) covers a buffet lunch, refreshments and documentation. Booking forms for this meeting are available from Denise Brown ([log in to unmask]).
