Dear SCARF users,
I am pleased to be able to give more details on the upcoming SCARF user workshop. We will be refocusing the day to give a better combination of useful, up-to-date information, scientific content, and a forum for discussion.
The meeting will start with coffee and biscuits at 10am, with the first talk at 10:30am. Lunch will be provided, and we should be finished by 2:30-3pm at the latest.
The program for this meeting is as follows:
The new SCARF compute nodes - how to access them, how to use them, and the plans for the original cluster
Applications portal demo - a demo of the new NGS applications portal, hopefully running live on SCARF.
Group presentations - each group that uses SCARF is invited to present a 5-10 minute presentation on the work that they have done on SCARF over the past 6 months. This should be focused on interesting results and achievements, including, but not limited to, conference contributions and papers published or pending. The groups that the SCARF advisory board deem to have demonstrated best use of the resources will receive increased access to the new advanced reservation.
Discussion session - including, but not limited to, advanced reservation of the cluster.
We hope to see you there!
Best wishes,
Duncan
