Corporate Information and Records Manager
A local authority requires a Corporate Information and Records Manager for
an initial 6 month contract which may possibly be extended thereafter. The
role has arisen as a consequence of a recent external audit.
Key responsibilities will cover:
- taking responsibility for an implementation plan
- preparing a detailed business case to support a programme of work based
on delivering the implementation plan and the recruitment of a dedicated
information and records function within the council
- developing a corporate information and records management strategy and
associated programme of activity
- provision of strategic advice and guidance to the council in relation to
best practice in this area and working with information managers
throughout the Council to establish a Community of Practice.
You will have experience of local government and the key issues facing
this sector, experience of influencing stakeholders at all levels,
excellent knowledge of information, records and knowledge management
disciplines and methodologies such as DIRKS and statutory requirements
such as FOI and Data Protection and inspirational leadership and
enthusiasm.
Salary: £35-40k pro rata
Location: West Midlands
Duration: 6 month contract which may be extended
