Lecturer/Research Training Fellow in Public Health

Salary : £28,930-£50,219
This post offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant multidisciplinary
department with an international reputation for high quality research.
The post is split 70:30 between the University of Bristol and an
accredited Public Health service based within the South West. You will be
expected to continue your specialist training in Public Health and
develop your own research programme in collaboration with members of the
Department. If you do not already have a PhD you will be expected to
register for one based on one of the range of projects in aetiological
epidemiology or health services research within the department. You will
also teach undergraduate medical students and contribute to the
department?s postgraduate training programme. You must possess MFPH part
A (or part I) and have at least 12-18 months UK NHS service experience in
public health. The post is most appropriate for someone who is currently
a Specialist Registrar or Public Health Specialist. Evidence of an
ability to undertake independent research, such as peer-reviewed
publications, and of previous teaching experience is important. The
appointment will be made on annually renewable contracts. The
Postgraduate Dean has confirmed that this placement and/or programme has
the required educational and dean's approval.
