Hi Jim, Beno and All.
I am so pleased to get all your help, and am learning VERY quickly, Re' the
Roasting to get Sulphur out of copper ore, I now remenber seeing pictures of
the system in the USA, but I think it is not suitable for the area of
Boolcoomatta Mines due to cost of freight possibly being the overiding
factor, and wood supply being poor, though the native timbers can burn with
a feirce heat, Mulga etc.
So I think I'll have to consider that the Title Copper Smelters was simply a
ruse to catch the future Investors?
And lastly the nearest Copper Smelter was at Burra Copper Mines aprox 150
miles as the crow flies, the next one was the E.A Smelters at Port Adelaide,
Then the Wallaroo Smelters at Wallaroo.
So again thanks for all your help.
Take Care
