Hi,
A similar story here at Goldsmiths College. 250 pounds a year within the
media and communications department - I'm not 100 % sure, but I think this
is similar in the other departments.
Considering that many PhD students at Goldsmiths pursue their PhD without
any funding anyways, this is in principle part of the money they
themselves paid as enrolment fees. Free labour indeed...
