Professor Robin Kirkpatrick (University of Cambridge), who has recently
completed a verse translation of Dante's Commedia for Penguin, will read
from and speak about his version of the text.
There will also be short papers by Matthew Treherne
(Leeds)('Equivalences and estrangements: theorizing translation of the
Commedia') and Claire Honess (Leeds) ('"Pur con parole sciolte":
Translating Dante's Prose').
