*Marie Curie Research Fellowships (Transfer of Knowledge) (2 Positions) *
The National Institute for Intellectual Disability (NIID), based at Trinity
College , in the heart of Dublin , is focused upon research, education and
advocacy with people with intellectual disability. As part of its mission the
NIID provides a supportive and well equipped research environment where Trinity
staff work in collaboration with people with intellectual disability, families,
agency staff and community members. The NIID fellowships provide an exciting
career opportunity to engage in research where people with intellectual
disability and family members are included in all aspects of the process.
Two Marie Curie Research Fellowships are advertised as part of an EU funded
Transfer of Knowledge (TOK) Project entitled: /Doing Disability Research. / The
successful fellows will support and develop NIID's research activities as part
of this project. They will be involved as members of a research team in the
design, implementation, analysis and writing of research reports, delivery of
conference presentations and submission of journal articles arising from one or
more of the project's research focus areas including:
On-going evaluation of a Certificate programme, together with a course on
/becoming a researcher / for people with intellectual disability, delivered
within the third level setting of Trinity College .
National life history project of stories of people with intellectual disability
and their families
National surveys of the self expressed needs of people with intellectual
disability and family members.
