I would have to agree 100% that that graphical method for re-referencing
is not very good, I guess we could add something a bit better to the
ordinary 2D window. I can't see why your Reference option would be grayed
out though (just looking at the code now). (It is a bit weird in that it
is called after the main 2D window is left, but it works on my Mac ok.)
On the auto-scaling front, I can look at that again (you are not the only
one to complain about that!). But you can easily rescale using the Home
(for up) and End (for down) buttons while on the 2D window (assuming these
buttons exist on your keypad, if not you can change the binding in Macros
--> Edit Macros).
