Hi, Mogg ~
The level of risk that can be assumed by an
individual can approach extremes far beyond
those of a respectable institution such as a
successful and internationally recognized
Church, whose levels of risk must needs
approach zero, rather than merely aiming for
the vanishingly small.
And if, as you suggest, the work of outside
and independent quality control oversight does
go wrong, then there is still the matter of
*accountability* for such oversight that must
be shouldered by the responsible organization
- in this case, the Gnostic Catholic Church.
Some one person or department takes the fall,
if fall there must be, and not the entire
organization.
Rather like a fuse burning out, or a breaker
being tripped.
If you are in it for the long term, as is the
Gnostic Catholic Church, it must be a matter
of checks and balances all the way down.
The consequences are severe; a nod and a
handshake are nowhere near enough to satisfy
the proprieties.
