Hi to All
A couple of questions/suggestions/comments about peak picking ;-)
1. at one point there was a revision to the multi-list mode so it was
sticky between sessions However it seems to have disappeared... is
this a regression or me being stupid?
2. when in multi-list mode if you create a peak by doing
<control>-click this can often produce unexpected results with
multiple peak picks rather silently and often in the wrong place (e.g.
pick a peak in an hncoca and it tunnels through to the hnca
underneath). Would it be possible to have a dialog box to ask if this
is what you want to do:? e.g. something like
Warning you are picking peaks in multiple spectra:
[] go ahead
[spectrum popup] switch off multilist mode
[] select a single peak
ok cancel
3. in multi-list mode when you click on a spectrum in multi-list mode
and it contains disjoint spectra (e.g. hnca, hncoca, hnco, hncoca)
you can end up expanding the sweep width of the disjoint spectra so
as to accommodate the new peak. This can also be annoying as you keep
on mistakenly changing the sweep widths when for example you are just
adding the odd peak once in a while. Again would it be possible to
have some form of dialog. do you eant to expand the sweep width of
spectrum x?
I realise there are human factors to think about here (a sort of peak
picking popup virtual hell could be imagined) so my suggestions may
not be the answer ( and there may already be a simple one) However, I
certainly find the problem quite real;-)
regards
gary
