Jan West, the MentorSET manager has been in contact with me with a
request for mentors.
The greatest need is for mentors in Biology / biotechnology /
biochemistry / chemistry / neuroscience / medicine and pharmacology.
Some working in academia, others in hospitals and industry. She also
would like mentors with computing and physics backgrounds.
Mentoring is a great source of learning for both the mentor and mentee.
Mentors gain satisfaction helping others to realise their potential and
they share their experiences and expertise. Mentors often also gain a
better understanding of the environment in which they work and improve
their listening, management and leadership skills.
If you are prepared to help other women develop and achieve success by
becoming a mentor, please contact Jan at [log in to unmask]
You don't need to be at the top of your profession, anyone with several
years experience can apply to become a MentorSET Manager and full
training is given.
Lucy.
