There must be a way around this somehow? The only way I can currently
see how to fix this would be to wrap all of the monoliths in a
startup script which sets the endianess of the machine in a local
(rather than the global) shell which the application is about to run in?
I think with the arrival of Intel Macs this is something we might
have to worry about in a more general way, possibly we're the only
place that serves a bundle of software to a lot of Macs (mix of PPC
and Intel) from a central server right now. But I can see others
wanting to do this?
