I work for Winchester City Council and we are in the process of selecting
and implementing an EDRMs.
We are looking at what guidelines we should be giving when working with
draft documents that aren't in a finished enough state to be shared.
If you have implemented a system can you please let me know how you managed
these e.g. are they on EDRMs being version controlled and available to any
person with the security level to view them or do you have a separate area
where staff can create draft documents until they are of a fit state for
sharing (at the stage when it can be circulated for comments and then
finished and declared as a record)?
Also - we have cash spreadsheets which are updated daily. Historical
information isn't changed only the current day's information updated. Do
you save these within EDRMs and is a new version automatically created when
it is saved?
