Subject: Biloxi Anderson? And Ben Lerner...
Since my name has been batted about, in relation...
It seems that there is somewhat wide-spread --and apparently some of it
somewhat unfriendly--assumption on the list that (to quote John
Berryman) "I am her."
So for what it's worht, I have little interest in on-line avatars and
don't use them. I haven't even read, actually, any of the Andersen
posts, so am not completely sure what all the fuss is about.
On another note, and more interesting one, I think: I've just found out
that the young U.S. poet and editor Ben Lerner has been named a finalist
for this year's National Book Award in poetry, for his second
collection, Angle of Yaw, newly out from Copper Canyon Press. For those
who might be interested, I did an interview with Ben, after his first
book, The Lichtenberg Figures, which can be found at Jacket:

Lerner is an amazing poet, certainly one of the most gifted writers of
the younger generation here. I encourage you to check out his work!
