Yes. That was very true - a lot of words saying very little. Perhaps
more suited to a philosophy site.
Someone else mentioned a 'constructed persona'. I think this thought
was the result of the 'constructed language' : ie, not her/his first
tongue. Well-schooled in English but the language was not
well-attached to the culture that bore it. Mid-European
pseudo-intellectual thought is vastly different than Pommie
sitting-around-the-pub-table-late-at-night ruminating.
I as perpetrator of such a 'fraud'? No: I'm too self-absorbed.
