Dear all,
Apologies for sending so many messages in the last few days, but we would like to draw your attention to the new Brain Buster Maths Boxes, developed by members of the NRICH Team and produced by BEAM.
We want children to be engaged and challenged by maths, to work collaboratively, and creatively, to tackle maths problems. We're
keen for them to talk about maths, to explain and justify their thinking. In all of this, we hope to encourage them to become well-rounded, confident mathematicians.
That's why we've developed the Brain Buster Maths Boxes with BEAM. These three sets of irresistible problems are designed to really get children thinking and talking about maths. There's everything you need to set up a good maths investigation in your class once a week throughout the year: A4 problem cards for pairs to share, enough equipment to go round, and a teachers' book and CD, all in a neat storage box.
You can download some sample problems from the BEAM website by clicking on
