......................................................................
We would like conduct some research, identifying that developments in
technology are causing people to use their hands, specifically fingers
and thumbs, differently. For example, with such vast quantities of people
using computer games, entertainment system remote controls (TV, DVD
iPods etc) and mobile phones / text messaging, individuals are
increasingly becoming more inclined to use their thumbs rather than
fingers and as such thumbs are becoming stronger and growing bigger.
Gradually as we evolve, will people begin to use their thumbs for
activities which would traditionally be dominated by fingers, i.e. light
switches etc. Our question is; is the thumb going to replace the index
finger as the dominate digit? And how will this affect its physical size
and strength?
If anyone is currently conducting / has conducted any research into this
or a similar topic or is interested in discussing this further please
can they contact me on the details below? A fee for this activity can be
negotiated.
