This one day forum is being jointly organised by the DPC and CILIP in
Scotland and is aimed at library and information professionals who work with
digital resources. The forum will explore whether content is being locked
away behind technical protection measures and ask how we can make content
accessible while upholding the rights of intellectual property owners. The
forum will also highlight digital preservation issues in order to ensuring
long term accessibility of digital resources.
Speakers include Barbara Stratton,
Senior Copyright Adviser at CILIP, Alan Rae, Copyright Consultant for the
Association of Scottish Colleges, Mags McGinley of the Digital Curation
Centre, and Simon Bains of the National Library of Scotland and Najla
Semple, Executive Secretary of the DPC.
