Jo
This seems like a reasonable request in order to give an accurate
location, particularly if the HER is attempting to digitise all event
information as polygons. Often this will be specified by Development
Control Archaeologist rather than the HER Officer.

Bruce

Subject: Base Maps for Client Reports
Hi Everyone,
Our unit has recently been asked to use 1:2500 scale (eg Mastermap) as
the basis for all trench location plans for work in our county. Is this
standard? It would be enormously expensive to achieve, so I was just
wondering what HER Officers elsewhere ask for from commercial units in
terms of base-mapping for reports.
Many thanks
Jo Cook
