The Institute for Health Research is seeking to appoint a Professor in
Public Health (clinical or non-clinical) to further enhance the
international profile of public health research and teaching within IHR.
For the post you will have an excellent international research
reputation in quantitative social epidemiology relevant to public
health, and will provide leadership in the further development of public
health research and postgraduate teaching within IHR and across
Lancaster University. The Institute for Health Research is a vibrant and
expanding multi-disciplinary department, providing excellence in
policy-relevant social science research, postgraduate teaching and
consultancy concerning health, well-being and disability. Informal
