Kostas beat me to it, but I reiterate his statement- does a dcache
instance have to have the same release throughout? We say this because
we're being punished severely by the whole "CLOSE_WAIT/end of file"
thing, which could be fixed in this new release. But in theory we'd
only need to upgrade the pool nodes as this is where are doors are,
not the admin node itself. Would in your opinion it be worth a partial
upgrade and leave the admin node's upgrade till a bit more testing be
done, or would it simply not be worth the hassle of unknown
sideeffects and I should just go the whole hog and upgrade it all.
Either way I'll be upgrading some/all my dcache asap (probably today)
in the hope of seeing an end to the "end of file" messages before
atlas users start making little voodoo effigies of me for not being
able to get to their data.
cheers,
Matt
Hoping beyond hope users don't start practising voodoo on sysadmins.
