If you are seeking a fairly snappy way of learning something new and adding
to your CV, then you may be interested in one of these long-standing short
courses from the Institute of Education of London University. You can
focus on business issues in any of them.
We offer a general 10 week internet course: Online Education & Training,
that delivers serious professional development for people involved in
education in any field, with a truly practical approach to pedagogy and the
use of new technologies. The next start date is 29th January 2007.
Within the course we also incorporate various special groups for 3 kinds of
specific interest:
a. Training or teaching adult and older learners.
b. Language teaching.
c. Very new technology.
In addition:
d. A range of self-study modules guided by a handbook, within our
Professional Diploma in Learning and Teaching. These can be taken
individually [without the whole Diploma] and require no attendance, but a
4-4500 words essay/report giving a critical account of some real
professional work you have done/are doing. You can start this at any time.
All of the above will lead to credits that can be used for a full diploma
or a master's, and for each one the fee is Stg 499, which can be paid by
bank transfer, credit card or instalments.
