After listening to Tom Shakespeare's presentation at Lancaster University I
found myself agreeing with most of what he said. I was hoping that there
would be a fierce debate here about where he is wrong, so that I could
understand the arguments better and make a more informed decision about
where I stand. But apart from Larry's threat to tell Shakespeare what is
wrong with his book (if he ever has the time to read it) there has been
nothing. Can anyone explain to me, in a nutshell, both sides of the
argument and where Carol Thomas's views on impairment effects and
psychoemotional dimensions of disablism fits in the equation.
Thanks,
Harvey
