Please read reply from NSPCC.. "They don't share my own and others
'collective' human and social
moral and ethical to children within the EU and global world.... and it's
seems to me that the NSPCC all live in this 'insular-world' that if it's not
happening in 'our' own backyard, then 'we' can turn a 'blind-eye' to all
forms of institutional child abuse in other Countries, including those on
our. Is this not called 'NIMBYism'?
SHAME ON YOU NSPCC?

Thank you for bringing this story to our attention.
Unfortunately the NSPCC can not directly get involved or comment on the
situation as we are a charitable organisation that can only work with
children at risk within England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The NSPCC is concerned about the issue of children in penal institutions and
we look to ensure that all children and young people have equal rights and
that children and young people in prison are entitled to the same level of
care and protection accorded to children in every other setting. Secure
accommodation should be a last resort for children and young people and only
for those who pose a risk to other members of the community.
You may find it useful contacting the below organisation that works in the
Netherlands, they may be able to advise on what they are doing on this
issue:
