"This week on The Sunday Edition, it's the New Eugenics. British scientists
have announced a new genetic screening tool that can detect up to 6,000
inheritable diseases, thousands more diseases than possible with current
screening methods.
The discovery, as one scientist has said, "changes everything." Will this
knowledge result in better "preventative" health care, or be taken to the
extreme as a new and terrifying form of eugenics.
Guest host Christopher Thomas and two medical ethicists discuss where the
line should be drawn and, more importantly, if any line CAN be drawn. That's
The Sunday Edition, right after the 9 a.m. news (9:30 NT) on CBC Radio One."
