Dear all
On a similar vein to recent postings on macros, I have a question regarding
embedded files.
Increasingly, agendas for meetings are created with embedded Office files.
This allows for one file to be sent electronically, instead of the agenda
with a series of attachments.
Often the file embedded has been created specifically to be presented at the
meeting.
So for example, a report for a meeting is typed and saved as an individual
file. Then it gets embedded within the agenda (note not as link, but as a
copy), and the agenda is saved, creating therefore duplication (report file
and agenda with report file embedded).
Basically my question is: is it acceptable? I have difficulty with this as
typically the report will be saved in the same directory as the agenda,
therefore the duplication is within the same directory. Could the solution
then be that the report is deleted once it has been embedded? Is the record
(agnda with embedded file) then a true representation (in my opnion even a
better one, but may be you will think otherwise!)?
Note that it is all in Office applications, there is no PDF-ing involved.
I hope my question makes sense... Thank you for your help.
Regards
Edith
