Good morning all,
I'm new to this list so just to introduce myself quickly I work for the JISC RSC East Midlands as an ILT adivser. Being new I have missed many of the discussions, but I wondered why there might be a need for 2 separate lists for HE and FE when this seems to be a very active forum, possibly because of the range of contributors? Apologies if I've missed the point by not reading previous discussions :)

If there is one being set up I'll no doubt join it, but I'm very happy
with the current VLE list and the Moodle.org site.

Could I just have a quick reply if anyone would be interested in joining
a national FE Moodle list as Owen suggests.

Tim, go to
JISC Mail... http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/
And click on the Create a List there...and follow through.

Being new to these things, how do we go about setting one up?

If there is enough interest (and I think there is), I'd say yes.
It's worth noting that there are already some regional lists, that I
believe are mainly run by the JISC RSCs, and seem to have more of an FE
flavour (EM-MOODLE, JISC-RSC-LONDON-MOODLE, JISC-RSC-NW-MOODLE,
MOODLE-WALES, MOODLE-WM, RSC-SE-MOODLE, YH-MOODLE-USER-GROUP), but my
own personal view is that an national FE dedicated list is perfectly
appropriate.
