agree that this cannot be defined as critique, rather, it’s pure business.
And definitely ‘paranoid chic’ is not a new phenomenon. Yet, still it
strikes me how powerful and exaggerated images need to be nowadays in order
to thrive. How could we criticise violent policing presented as chic and
sexy without being moralistic/old-fashioned? Perfect pictures for teaching
purposes! But would we be able to use them? Please, tell me if you ever do...
