Hi Mark,
this error is because you've managed to avoid initialising CONVERT. The
"gaia.csh" script makes sure this is done for you, so either you're
avoiding that script or CONVERT is missing.

Yes, no problems. Any method does, either reopen from the "Go" menu, or
using "File->Open cube...", including after generating your errors.
What window manager are you using? And do any of the toolboxes in
"Image-Analysis" show the same behaviour?
