Good morning,
Just a quick e-mail to remind you all about next week’s (September 13th)
postgraduates who teach (PGwT) workshop to be held at Goldsmiths, Richard
Hoggart Building (formerly the Main Buliding) Room 154, London, SE14 6NW,
UK.
The day starts at 10 and will finish around 3.30 and will consist of three
sessions:
Mary Claire Halvorson, Goldsmiths College, will be giving us a "cook's
tour" of predominate themes part time tutors in HE psychology departments
encounter such as managing and working well with colleagues; managing
workload, time, stress, meetings, and paperwork; and addressing the ever
delicate work/life balance.
Dr. Carol Percy, Coventry University, will address topics related to
qualitative methods including what is feasible to teach in a qualitative
course and effective supervision and marking of undergraduate qualitative
projects.
Caprice Lantz, Higher Education Academy Psychology Network, will help you
learn the finer points of developing effective conference posters - which
will be useful for you and your students!
As usual lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments are provided and the
day is free to postgraduates. If you want to attend please fill in the
registration form online:
