I started to revise the language I wrote down during my first viewing
of the first feature film by a director of whom I’d previously been unaware,
Benoit Jacquot, now the subject of a retrospective in Washington DC.
But I got distracted when I stumbled into a small pool of English language
which came directly out of the director’s mouth.
