Further to Ann's note regarding the SWERN usergroup meeting this Wednesday,
I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that Josh Howlett (guest speaker) is now a proud father -
Edward arrived 14 days late.....

The bad news is that Josh is now on paternity leave and will not be able to
speak at the usergroup meeting on Wednesday.

Unless anyone is able to produce a speaker at this short notice (any offers
gratefully received!) I propose to demonstrate "InMon Traffic Server" which
is a network monitoring program which we have been using at Exeter for a
couple of years. It takes sampled data from all the network switches and is
able to present it in a number of different formats, including several
different graphical ones. It has hooks to add additional features, for
example the "snort" rules. I hope that this will be of interest to most of
you.

An agenda for the meeting will shortly be available on the web.
