Dear colleagues,
The Serbian Refugee Council (SRC) is pleased to present the first issue of
its Newsletter. The Newsletter is available on the SRC website
(www.ssi.org.yu):
Serbian (http://www.ssi.org.yu/Newsletter_Avg06_SerLat.pdf) and
English (http://www.ssi.org.yu/Newsletter_Aug06_Eng.pdf)
The topic chosen for this issue is Serbia's Draft Amendment to the Law on
Refugees, which currently raises many controversies among various
stakeholders.
The Newsletter brings forth the point of view of the SRC and features
articles from the International Aid Network and Praxis. A separate article
provides an overview of other asylum legislations in South Eastern Europe in
order to broaden the perspective.
Henceforth the SRC newsletter will be published quarterly. Each issue will
focus on a prevailing topic in the field of refugees, IDPs and other issues
of forced migrations. In addition, the Newsletter will include information
about events organized by the founding members of the SRC and will equally
outline their future activities.
If you have any questions or would like to give us a feedback, please do not
hesitate to contact us!
We wish you an enjoyable reading!
Kind regards,
The SRC team
