Hello, all
This is a request on behalf of a friend who is the stepmother of a 17 year
old man diagnosed with Asperger's. She's looking for information or
resources that her female partner (the son's mother) can access that will
help her to be a better support for her son, who's struggling with school
issues, but that will also be good resources for the mother herself, who
seems to have only encountered medical-model, guilt-inducing literature so
far. (Sorry, I'm not probably explaining this very well). Anyway, if anyone
knows of a neurodiversity-positive support group for parents, or some
information sites that are neurodiverse positive and parent positive, I'd
appreciate it! In Canada would be even better - although I suspect that' a
tall order.
Best,
