Dear colleagues on the critical geography forum,
Just to say 'hi' and that I've just joined the list. I've recently
taken up a post at the University of Sheffield, teaching in planning. My
research interests are in postcolonial geographies, especially the
contested relationships between Indigenous people and planning
systems/processes in settler states. My background is in Australia, but
I'm looking to expand my interest to other postcolonial spaces elsewhere
(so do get in touch if you're interested in same!). My other research
interests are in urban regeneration policy processes, and am especially
interested in critical discussions about how urban policy is currently
signing up to new forms of dogma concerning 'urban renaissance' and the
implications of this.
Regards
Libby
