Dear all,
We have a single in our collection dating from 1960. It features the
Artesian Hall Stompers playing "when you & I were young, Maggie"
and "Dumaine St. Rag", and is a privately made recording, not attached to
any label.
I have been contacted by a gentleman who was a friend of the group, wanting
to make copies of these works and issue them on a new CD, along with old
material he'd originally issued in the 60s. He claims this to be a non-
profit making venture.
I'm certain he will need the permissions of those members of the group
still living, and the arranger (if different), but can anyone advise as to
whether any other permissions/licences are needed? Is this also a matter
for the MCPS?
I'd be grateful for any advice on this matter.
Many thanks,
Claire Kidwell
