*10th International Symposium on Wetland Biogeochemistry*
*1-4 April 2007*
*Annapolis, Maryland US*
The objective of the 10th convening of this international symposium is
to reflect on Frontiers in Wetland Biogeochemistry. Recent years have
witnessed a dramatic increase in our knowledge of microbial metabolic
diversity that calls for revisiting the classical paradigm of resource
competition in soils and sediments. Discoveries have come from both
traditional biogeochemical studies and novel molecular studies, and they
demonstrate the power of integrating these fields. Many recent advances
have important implications for the management of natural and created
wetland ecosystems.
The symposium welcomes research contributions from the full range of
scales (molecular to ecosystem), applications (basic to applied), and
ecosystems (mangroves to peatlands). In addition to the symposium theme,
sessions will cover a wide variety of current topics in wetland
biogeochemistry.
Abstract Submission Deadline: January 19, 2007
Early Registration Deadline: February 2, 2007
