Dear Colleagues;
I should like to nominate Roderik Dubbeld for membership of Aacorn.
He has a BA in Hotel Management from Maastricht, and an MBA from Niemegen. He works mainly as a consultant and as a community worker, and has written one book so far. He has had executive positions in a major bank and in local government.
But he has one qualification that is pretty unique among our elevated academic diplomas and doctorates...he is a fully qualified Clown, having graduated from the Amsterdam Clown School.
I have seen him in action and participated in sessions that he has led. We are planning to do some writing together and have worked with him as recently as last week at the IODA (International Organisation Development Association) Conference.
He uses clowning not just with managers and executives but also in community work and with mentally-handicapped people. He set up the foundation CapClowns in 2003. The aim of this foundation is to improve the wellbeing of mentally disabled people by offering clown performances, workshops and theatre.
His practise truly encompasses all that we in Aacorn aspire to be. He truly walks the talk.
I hope very much that you agree that Roderik would be a great addition to our network.
With best regards
David
