Software and Systems Developer: Online Learning	
£23,877 - £30,902 according to qualifications and experience
1 year fixed term

The University of Bath wishes to appoint a committed and enthusiastic member
of staff to work with the eLearning team based within our Learning and
Teaching Enhancement Office. As part of a small, dedicated e-learning team,
you will be required to support the implementation of key aspects of the
University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy, related to the use of learning
technologies and flexible modes of learning.

You should be familiar with the higher education context, be aware of
current internet developments and technologies, and possess a broad
knowledge and competency in the use of open source development tools and
environments which they can then use to either develop or enhance learning
and teaching tools, and to enrich open source learning environments. Because
we have a number of initiatives developed in PHP you must be competent in
this scripting language. You will also be expected to support the team’s
small demonstration lab and server room (Windows XP and Linux) and be
prepared to make presentations on tools and environments either developed by
the team or elsewhere. You should be an analytical but creative person, able
to develop high quality innovative learning resources and prepared to share
knowledge and ideas. The appointment will be offered for a fixed-term of
one year.
