Hi Catherine
Try the Water Act 1989
Water Resources Act 1991
Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000 SI 2000 No 3184
Regulations 6, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15. Samples to be analysed. Regulation
34 (1) (a) (b) (f) says 30 years after date information was first entered
into the record.
34 (1) except (a) (b) (f) says 5 years after the date information was first
entered in the record
Regulation 16 (4)
Shall maintain such records as are sufficient to enable it to establish, in
relation to each sample taken for the purposes of Part V or this part, that
such appropriate requirements as are applicable to that sample have been
satisfied.
Legionellaosis comes under HELA (Health Executive / Local Authority
Committee) see Local Authority Circular 46/2 and operational circular 255/11
I hope this helps

Subject: Water quality records
Hi
Is there any guidance on the retention for records of tests of water for
various bacteria (e.g. e-coli) and aluminium?
