I would also be very interested in how other institutions measure portal
success and the metrics they used.

Subject: Portals, success metrics and evidence
Thank you to all the people that have taken time to reply to my many
questions. We are continuing to develop our portal and the replies have
provided plenty of reasons why we need a portal.
However, I am still hoping that somebody can describe what their success
metrics* are and measured the value of their institution's portal
according to them?
I found a presentation by Paul Miller & Liz Pearce entitled 'Stakeholder
Requirements for Institutional Portals:
Nobody Wants the Weather'
http://www.fair-portal.hull.ac.uk/pubs_and_pres.html who say at the end
of their presentation that 'Reports for participating institutions, and
overarching report for the community Delivered March/April 2004' I am
hoping that this might provide some evidence. Does anybody know where I
can get hold of a copy of the report? So if anybody knows or if there
are any other portal evaluations that I can read, please do contact me
thanks
